How do I delete my old class roster and add my new students?

In order to clear your Epic! classroom of last year's students and start a new classroom, you can transfer or delete the existing student profiles and then add your new students to your Epic! roster. Your classroom code will remain the same year by year. 

STEP 1. Here are the steps to archive a student profile:

  1. Log into your Epic! Educator account
  2. Click on the 'Roster' tab
  3. Select the boxes to the left of the student profile(s) you would like to delete
  4. Select 'Archive Student' in the top right (this is a permanent action)
  5. Click 'Archive' in the pop-up window to confirm archiving the selected student(s)

Note: The Guest profile cannot be deleted as the Educator Dashboard requires at least one student profile in addition to the teacher profile. The mass delete feature is only available on the website and the latest version of the iOS app.

STEP 2. Here are the instructions to transfer a student profile:

  1. Log into your Epic! Educator account
  2. Click on the 'Roster' tab
  3. Select the boxes to the left of the student profile(s) you would like to transfer
  4. Select 'Transfer Student' in the top right
  5. Enter the email address of the new teacher for the selected student(s) in the pop-up window and click 'Submit'

STEP 3. Here are the steps to add new student profiles:

To create a student profile on the website version of Epic!:

  1. Log into your Epic! educator account
  2. Click on the 'Roster' tab
  3. Select ‘Add Student’ at the top
  4. Fill in the applicable fields
  5. Click the green 'Add Student’ button

 

To create a student profile on the mobile app version of Epic! (iOS or Android):

  1. Log into your Epic! educator account
  2. Go to your teacher dashboard by clicking on your teacher avatar and entering your account password.
  3. Select your Educator avatar on the bottom navigation bar
  4. Tap the blue ‘+ Add Student’ button
  5. Fill in the fields (PIN code and parent email are optional)
  6. Tap the green 'Add Student' button
